For 30 years Penobscot Theatre Company’s Dramatic Academy has inspired a life-long passion for theatre in the heart of Maine. During our history, DA at PTC has reached students of all ages through classes, camps, in-school workshops, and student matinees. Thousands of Maine Families have enjoyed youth performances, classes led by theater professionals and gained invaluable life experiences. Dramatic Academy at PTC offers inspiring arts education year-round, with classes and camps available for everyone in your family.

We use performing arts to engage children in activities that can increase self-confidence, self-esteem, focus, and concentration.

Shakespeare in Schools is designed to bring Shakespeare into classrooms as a performance activity.
