Youth Theatre
From movement to sound effects, games to scenes, learn how to build an ensemble through theatre games and improvisation.
Penobscot Theatre’s caring and highly skilled theatre artists will guide young performers in a structured and supportive environment.
Children (7-12) will have the chance to perform a fully staged play on the stage of the Bangor Opera House for friends and family.

Musical Theatre Workshop
This summer our two week camp will prepare young people ages 12-17 to perform in our summer musical.(August 7th-9th) which will be performed for the public in downtown Pickering Square . In addition to being part of the ensemble in the musical, students will also prepare solos or duets for a pre-show performance. Our experienced directing staff will provide a safe place where students can learn to develop their individual talents while being a vital part of a group. Advanced Acting
Penobscot Theatre is looking for talented students ages 14-21 for this summer’s advanced acting workshop. This is a unique opportunity for Maine youth who are interested in a career in acting or who just can’t get enough of the theatre. This workshop will prepare students with audition material for college interviews and local & regional auditions. We will begin our sessions with improvisation and move on to scripted material. We will also create a strong vocal warm-up taught by our Artistic Director Scott RC Levy, who prior to this job was a Voice and Acting teacher at NYU. A final performance will be staged on the Bangor Opera House on August 8th.
